Emergency services have used the jaws of life to free a man from a car involved in a serious accident in south Taranaki.
The accident happened near Normanby and involved a car and a light truck.
Two people were seriously injured, and one has been flown to Taranaki Base Hospital.
Police said one of the vehicles appeared to have been leaving a driveway at the time of the accident.
