A logging truck left the road and crashed into a tree at Waipapa in the Far North early this morning, and the driver has died.
Emergency services were called to Koropewa Road in Waipapa about 3.30 am.
The driver was dead when they arrived at the scene.
The police serious crash and commercial vehicle investigation units are investigating.
