Property sales in Auckland have hit new highs.
Real estate firm, Barfoot and Thompson, said it sold 893 properties last month, up 4 percent on January last year.
It said sales were the highest for the month of January in 8 years.
The firm said the median price dropped 5 percent from December to $760,000.
But on an annual basis, the median price was up nearly 9 percent.
