Two women who were killed in an accident on the Te Anau-Milford Highway on Friday have been named.
They are Julia Mayer and Kathrin Schmitt, both aged 19 from Germany.
The women were driving along the highway about 4.30pm when a beech tree fell and struck their car, police said.
