A man who is considered dangerous and who escaped police custody in Nelson last week remains on the loose.
Ihaka Kawana, 22, escaped last Friday morning.
A police spokeswoman said on Monday that Mr Kawana remained at large, but they had received some information from the public which was being followed up.
Mr Kawana was described as 1.76m tall and was last seen wearing a brown T-shirt and black jeans.
