Two people are in a serious condition in Wellington Hospital after a car crash on State Highway 1 at Paraparaumu early this morning.
Emergency services were called to the single-car crash at 4am. One person was taken to hospital by helicopter, and the other was driven by ambulance.
The police said a man was driving but they could not confirm the gender of the passenger.
The serious crash unit is investigating.
