A Queenstown industrial area has been given the all clear after a chemical incident.
Specialised equipment had to be flown in from Dunedin to make sure there was no chlorine gas in the area, after chemicals were inadvertently mixed at a commercial laundry in Frankton, near Queenstown Airport.
One man was taken to hospital as a precaution and a 300 metre exclusion zone was in force while firefighters ventilated the building and checked for chlorine gas.
