A 35-year-old man detained by police yesterday in relation to a shooting in Kaitaia in February has been charged with attempted murder.
The drive by shooting in February left a 26-year-old man seriously injuried in the drive-by shooting. The incident was thought to have been gang-related.
Police say the arrested man will appear in the Kaitaia District Court this morning and will also face firearms charge.
