Auckland's Youthline health clinic facing closure

7:25 am on 26 April 2016

A help service for young people needs tens of thousands of dollars to keep a trial pop-up health clinic in Auckland open.

The Youthline clinic was funded with money from overseas and is open three hours a week.

Since the trial clinic started last year it has seen about 150 young people, which Youthline says are those the mainstream health system has been missing.

Chief executive Stephen Bell says about $50,000 is needed to stop the clinic closing within two weeks.

He says Auckland DHB has indicated it doesn't see the clinic as a funding priority.
