Police want the public's help to trace a man's final movements before he was found dead in a submerged car.
The body of Kyle Jason Sutherland, 26, was found in a car that crashed into a stream early this morning at Matangi, near Hamilton.
The police said it appeared the Hamilton man was heading west along Matangi Road in the red Chevrolet Blazer.
Mr Sutherland was last seen about 7.15pm yesterday.
He left a relative's saying he was going to visit a friend in Matangi, and then maybe a supermarket.
The police said they were trying to build a complete picture of what he was doing before the crash.
