Three pig hunters lost overnight in King Country bush have walked out to a Department of Conservation base.
The hunters called family members last night to say they were lost in Pureora Forest, west of Mangakino.
A search team was due to begin looking for them, but Senior Sergeant Ray Malcomson says a report has just been received to say they have walked out and are safe and well.
The three are believed to be from the Cambridge area.
