A programme to insulate homes in Counties Manukau is running out of money despite a long waiting list.
The government's Warm Up New Zealand scheme has insulated at least 250,000 homes in Auckland, Waikato and Wellington.
Auckland woman Louisa Hindt said she signed up with the Counties Manukau programme and was put on the waiting list several weeks ago.
But she said she has now been told to wait until next month to find out if funding for the programme will be renewed.
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority said the Warm Up scheme will end on 30 June but an announcement on its future will be made soon.
