30 state houses could be sold in Dunedin

Housing New Zealand is looking at selling 30 long-term vacant properties in the Dunedin suburb of Mosgiel because of low demand.

The Murray Street properties have been identified as potentially suitable for sale, but the agency has yet to get final approval to sell them.

It said it would look to sell under-utilised properties, or ones it had had trouble tenanting.

Housing New Zealand sold eight properties in the Dunedin city area, between 1 May 2015 last year and 30 April 2016.
