A 46-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the suspected stabbing of an Eltham man yesterday.
The 50-year-old is in a critical condition in Taranaki Base Hospital's intensive care unit.
The woman, who is also from Eltham, was arrested this morning and police say she is helping them with their enquiries.
They say they're interested in speaking with anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Eltham area yesterday or this morning.
They are also asking for anyone who saw a green 1999 Ford Laser hatchback to come forward.
