Police now say there were no passengers on board a light plane that crash-landed in a Bay of Plenty paddock this afternoon.
Police said the plane hit the ground and rolled in a paddock near the coastal settlement of Pukehina, just before 2pm.
They had initially thought there were passengers onboard.
The plane's pilot was unharmed.
