Wellington man sought over 'inappropriate' actions

Wellington police are seeking public help after a man approached a young girl on a street and made inappropriate gestures and comments.

The girl was walking her dog in the suburb of Wadestown at about 5pm on Tuesday when the driver of a white car drove past, and did a U-turn.

He then got out of his car and acted inappropriately.

The girl kept walking until she came across a woman who was able to help her.

The police want to speak to anyone who was in the Fitzroy Rd area, as well as the woman to whom the girl spoke.

The man is described as Pakeha, aged between 25 and 35, of average build, with short black hair.
