The NZX 50 was up 18 points at 3471 on a turnover of $122 million on Tuesday.
In currency markets at 5.48pm the New Zealand dollar was trading at 82.32 US cents, 77.98 Australian cents, 52.58 pence, 67.75 Yen, 0.6245 euro and the Trade Weighted Index stood at 73.27.
Fletcher Building was up 7 cents to $6.76, Telecom was up 4.5 cents to $2.46, Chorus was down 3 cents to $3.60 and Contact Energy was up 1 cent at $4.97.
Sky City Entertainment was up 5 cents $3.87 and Sky Television was unchanged at $5.24.
Port of Tauranga was up 9 cents at $10.70 and The Warehouse was up 2 cents to $2.73.
