The benchmark NZX 50 has risen 35 points to close at 3534 on turnover of $160 million on Thursday.
In currency markets at 5.36pm, the dollar was trading at 81.02 US cents, 77.48 Australian cents, 51.78 pence, 68.17 yen and 0.6218 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 72.73.
Fletcher Building was up 13 cents to $6.98. Telecom was up 5.5 cents at $2.53. Chorus was unchanged at $3.62. Contact Energy was down 3 cents $4.97.
Sky City Entertainment was up 17 cents to $4.05. Sky Television was unchanged at $5.29.
Port of Tauranga was up 12 cents at $10.85.
The Warehouse was up 4 cents to $2.77.
