New Zealand market ends week higher

The NZ 50 closed higher on Friday, rising 14 points.

The NZX 50 index rose 14 points to close at 3,510 on a turnover of $121 million.

In currency markets, the New Zealand dollar was at 81.87 US cents, 78.78 Australian cents, 51.24 pence, 67.08 Yen, and 0.6 1 3 0 euro. The Trade Weighted Index stood at 72.76.

Fletcher Building was up 4 cents to $6.78, Telecom was down 1.5 cents to $2.435, Chorus was unchanged at $3.69 and Contact Energy was up 1 cent to $4.68.

Sky City Entertainment was unchanged at $3.89, Sky Network Television was up 2 cents to $5.17 and Fisher & Paykel Health was up 1 cent to $2.22.

Auckland International Airport was up 1.5 cents to $2.43, Mainfreight up 5 cents to $9.60 and Ryman was up 2 cents to $3.09.

Hallenstein Glasson was unchanged at $3.96 and Cavalier Corporation was up 3 cents at $2.09.
