NZ market up on Wednesday

The NZX 50 index rose 7 points to 3480 on turnover of $100 million on Wednesday.

When the markets closed, the NZ dollar was at 81.62 US, 79.47 Australian cents, 51.37 pence, 67.48 yen, and 0.6188 euro.

The Trade Weighted Index was at 73.08.

Fletcher Building was down 23 cents to $6.24, Telecom was up 2 cents at $2.47, Chorus was down 2 cents at $3.47 and Contact Energy was up 5 cents to $4.68.

Sky City Entertainment was up 3 cents to $3.89, Sky Network Television was up 3 cents to $5.28 and The Warehouse was up 3 cents at $2.71.

Cavalier Corp was up 9 cents to $2.09, Pumpkin Patch was up 10 cents to $1.12 after announcing a deal with Amazon UK.

Tower was up 4 cents to $1.73, AMP was up 5 cents to $5.45, Ebos was up 6 cents to $7.20 and Diligent Board Member Services was unchanged at $3.25.

Mainfreight was up 7 cents to $9.67.
