Comvita divides Asian operation into two divisions

7:03 am on 5 April 2012

Comvita is to split its operations in Asia into two parts so it can focus on the different needs of each region.

The two divisions will be North East Asia, which includes Japan and Korea, and Greater China, which includes Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Scott Coulter has been appointed to the new role of chief operating officer and will oversee Comvita's marketing, sales and delivery of its honey products-based inventory.

He says the restructure in Asia will allow the two divisions to concentrate on different priorities including growing a new less developed market like China and a well developed market liked Japan.

Mr Coulter says both offices will focus on continuing a successful period of growth.
