Guest nights in short-term accommodation fell in February.
Statistics New Zealand recorded 3.2 million guest nights in February - 1.5% more than in January on a seasonally-adjusted basis, but 2% lower than in the same month a year ago.
South Island guest nights fell 8.3% from February 2011, while North Island guest nights rose 2.8%.
International guest nights fell more than 11% in the year, while domestic guest nights rose 7%.
