A slew of economic data and more company results are out this week on Wall St, after a stellar week when stocks posted their best weekly gains in more than a month.
The Dow Jones Index closed up 23 points, or 0.2%, on Friday at 13,3328.
The Nasdaq Composite was up 19 points, or 0.6%, at 3,069.
The Australian 200 Index closed on Friday down 13 points at 4,362. The NZX 50 closed up 11 points, at 3532.
The New Zealand dollar on Monday was trading at 82.21 US cents, 78.54 Australian cents, 50.56 pence, 66.02 yen and 0.6206 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 72.79.
Brent crude oil was trading at just under $US120 per barrel and gold was trading at $US1654 per ounce.
