A former chairman of Housing New Zealand has joined the board of Ports of Auckland.
Pat Snedden replaces Rob Campbell, who quit the board over differing views on dealing with a labour dispute at the container terminal.
Pay talks resume next week between the port and the Maritime Union, after court action led to the company holding off plans to replace its employees with contractors.
