New Zealand market up on Wednesday

The NZX50 index rose 7 points, or 0.2%, to close at 3559 on turnover of $87 million on Wednesday.

When the markets closed the NZ dollar was trading at 78.46 US, 78.04 Australian, 48.40 pence, 62.54 yen and 0.6046 euro.

The Trade Weighted Index was at 70.44.

Fletcher Building was down 3 cents at $6.19, Telecom was up 8 cents at $2.65, Chorus was down 2 cents at $3.15 and Contact Energy was down 6 cents at $4.84.

Sky City Entertainment Group was up 2 cents at $3.92, Sky Network TV was down 2 cents at $5.48, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was unchanged at $2.27, and Auckland Airport was unchanged at $2.59.

Mainfreight was down 14 cents at $9.61 and Freightways was up 3 cents at $4.14.

The Warehouse was down 2 cents at $2.61 and Hallenstein Glasson was down 8 cents to $3.96,

Restaurant Brands was up 3 cents to $2.13, Trade Me was up 4 cents to $3.88, Delegats was up 3 cents to $2.45 and Turners Auctions was up 3 cents to $1.52.

OceanaGold was down 20 cents to $2.42, AMP was down 15 cents to $5.15 and Wakefield was down 8 cents to $4.46.
