Quiet Thursday on NZ stock exchange

The benchmark NZX50 index gained just one point, to close at 3484 on a turnover of $93 million on Thursday.

When the markets closed the NZ dollar was buying 80.25 US, 78.25 Australian, 51.48 pence, 64.02 yen and 0.6408 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 72.52.

Fletcher Building was up 6 cents to $6.26, Telecom was up 6 cents at $2.49, Chorus was up 2 cents at $3.20 and Contact Energy was down 2 cents at $4.84.

Sky City Entertainment was up 3 cents at $3.50, Sky Network TV was up 1 cent at $4.83 and Auckland International Airport was up 2 cents to $2.43.

Xero was up 5 cents to $5, Hallenstein Glasson was up 6 cents to $4.09.

Pyne Gould Corporation is on a trading halt, pending a material announcement.

Rubicon was up 4 cents, or 16% to 28 cents, after raising $21 million from investors.
