ANZ's monthly job index has found newspaper and internet advertisements fell in June, by a seasonally adjusted 1.4%. That follows a rise of 3% in May.
A fall of about 7.7% in newspaper advertisements contributed to the monthly fall, while online ads fell 0.2%.
Canterbury job ads eased, while other regions remained flat.
Figures from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment issued on Wednesday showed online skilled jobs dropped 2.1% on a seasonally adjusted basis last month compared to May.
