Updated at 6:49 pm on 2 August 2012

The ANZ Commodity Price Index eased 0.5%, with prices down 19% on a year ago.

Of the 17 commodities included in the index, only sawn timber, apples and dairy rose.

ANZ economist Mark Smith says prices are likely to continue to fall, given the global uncertainty, particularly in the eurozone.
