NZX trades down

The stock exchange says the value of trades fell in July, despite an increase in the number of them.
NZX says the total value traded fell 13% to $US2.3 billion last month, compared with the same period a year ago.
But the number of trades rose 14%to nearly 69,299.
Market capitalisation rose 3% to $59.1 billion, or 29% of gross domestic product.
