The NZX 50 was down 16 points, or 0.4%, to close at 3,547 on turnover of $24.5 million dollars at close on Friday.
The New Zealand dollar was at 81.35 US cents, 77.61 Australian cents, 52.37 pence, 63.55 Yen, 0.6675 euro and The Trade Weighted Index stood at 73.45.
Fletcher Building was down 2 cents to $6.17, Telecom down 2 cents at $2.68, Chorus down 3 cents at $3.08 and Contact Energy down 7 cents to $4.93.
Sky City Entertainment was up 1 cent at $3.56, Sky Network Television up 2 cents at $5.02, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare up 2 cents at $1.94 and The Warehouse up 1 cent to $2.67.
Cavalier Corp was up 2 cents to $1.60, OceanaGold down 4 cents to $2.60, Xero was unchanged at $5.31 and NZX was down 2 cents at $1.17.
