US markets still up

Stocks in the United States were little changed on Thursday, but trading remained at the highest in nearly four years.

The Dow Jones Index was down 11 points, or 0.1%, to 13,163. The Nasdaq Composite was up 6 points, or 0.13%, at 3017.

The FTSE100 in London closed up 0.10%, the DAX in Frankfurt was down 0.02% and the CAC-40 in Paris was up 0.54%.

The Australian 200 Index closed down 4 points, or 0.1%, at 4308 and the NZX50 index gained 2 points, or 0.1%, to close at 35 84

The New Zealand dollar on Friday was trading at 81.10 US cents, 76.75 Australian cents, 51.93 pence, 63.70 yenand 0.66.04 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 72.99.

Brent crude Oil was trading at $US114.41 per barrel and gold was trading at $US1616.80 per ounce.
