Sanford has not made a decision whether to appeal against a US court decision that found it guilty of dumping oily waste into the waters off American Samoa and falsifying log books.
It could be fined up to $US3 million and will be sentenced in November.
Sanford's shares fell 2 cents to $3.98 each on Thursday.
