The Reserve Bank has appointed Mark Perry as the head of financial markets.
He will oversee the bank's domestic and foreign exchange markets activity and its research and analysis on macro-financial stability.
Deputy Governor Grant Spencer says Mr Perry worked for 15 years at the BNZ, including five years as its head of financial markets.
