Interest rates held by RBA

The Reserve Bank of Australia on Tuesday left interest rates on hold at 3.5% for the third consecutive month.

The RBA trimmed its rates by 75 basis points over May and June, but sees Australia's economy as strong enough not to warrant another rate cut in September.

However, the bank has struck a more cautious note than previously with regard to the outlook for China and the global economy.
