The owner of Contact Energy has delayed the annual meeting of the company after an error in sending information to investors.
Origin Energy said the meeting has been postponed to 12 November due to an error by a third party which maintains the company's share register.
It said that resulted in a delay in the mailing of the notice of meeting and proxy form for a significant number of shareholders.
