Fonterra will develop two more large-scale dairy farms in China to help meet growing demand.
The nation's biggest company says the two farms, 120km east of Beijing, will complete its first hub of five farms designed to build up a pool of high quality, sustainable fresh local milk.
The hub will produce about 150 million litres of milk when complete.
Fonterra aims to develop several more hubs throughout China, and produce up to 1 billion litres of milk by 2020.
