NZ market makes slight gain

The New Zealand share market gained slightly on Friday, up two points to close at 3958 on turnover of $70 million.

Telecom was down 1 cent at $2.37, Fletcher Building gained 7c at $7.32, Chorus fell 4c to $3.24 while Contact Energy was up 3 cents at $5.31.

Auckland International Airport was 1.5c lower at $2.67, while Air New Zealand was down 1c at $1.23.

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was unchanged at $2.38, Sky CIty Entertainment was unchanged at $3.84 and Sky Network TV was down 2c to $5.10.

Sanford gained 15c to $4.50, Steel and Tube Holdings was up $2.20 and Tenon was up 4c to 70c.

Mainfreight fell 9c to $10.55, Kathmandu was down 8c to $1.71, OceanaGold was 5c lower to $4.23, Nuplex lost 4c to $2.92 and Opus was down 4c to $2.03.
