Division acquired by consortium
A consortium has bought the agricultural division of Biodiesel New Zealand from Solid Energy.
Pure Oil New Zealand is owned by Midlands Seed, Southern Packers, agronomist Roger Lasham and manager Nick Murney.
Biodiesel New Zealand's agricultural business includes the oil seed rape crop production, the oil extraction facility at Rolleston and product marketing.
The biodiesel business was sold as part of a restructure by Solid Energy.
Pure Oil has taken over all existing contracts with growers.
