The NZX 50 was down 15 points at 3955 on turnover of $92 million on Wednesday.

When the markets closed the NZ dollar was trading at 81.72 US cents, 78.21 Australian cents, 51.42 British pence, 64.90 yen and 0.6421 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 73.12.

Air NZ was down 1 cent to $1.24, Cavalier was down 10 cents to $1.70, Chorus was down 1 cent at $3.27, Contact was unchanged at $5.26 and Diligent was up 18 cents to $3.95.

Fletcher Building was down 7 cents to $7.34, Goodman Property Trust was down 3 cents to $1.03 and Mainfreight was up 16 cents at $10.56.

Infratil was up 0.5 cents to $2.185 and Kiwi Income Property Trust was down 1.5 cents to $1.16.

Ryman was down 1 cent to $4.08, Sky TV was unchanged at $5.08 and TradeMe was up 2 cents to $4.21.

Trustpower was down 6 cents to $8.54
