Market closes slightly higher

The NZX 50 rose 4 points, or 0.1%, to 4012 on a turnover of $79 million at close on Monday.

The kiwi was trading at 82.39 US cents, 78.80 Australian cents, 51.39 pence, 67.94 yen, 0.6356 euro and the Trade Weighted Index stood at 73.70.

Telecom was down 1 cent to $2.35, Fletcher Building down 2 cents to $7.97, Chorus up 4 cents to $3.34 and Contact Energy up 7 cents to $5.15.

Auckland International Airport was up 1.5 cents at $2.66, Sky City Entertainment down 5 cents to $3.74, and Sky Network TV up 2 cents to $5.07.

The Warehouse was unchanged at $3.19, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was up 4 cents to $2.50, Vector up 5 cents to $2.66, Opus up 5 cents to $1.95 and Abano up 5 cents to $6.00.

Xero was unchanged at $6.44, Mainfreight up 5 cents to $10.85 and Hallenstein Glasson down 1 cent at $5.35.

PGG Wrightson was up 2 cents at 35 cents while Pumpkin Patch was unchanged at $1.21.

New Zealand Experience closed up 4 cents at 45 cents after Rangitira investment company made a takeover bid.

Scott Technology was down 9 cents to $2.45, Acurity down 5 cents to $5.15 and Sanford down 5 cents to $4.45.
