New Zealand market slightly up

The NZX50 index was up 3 points, or 0.1% on Wednesday, to close at 4012 on turnover of $36 million.

The NZ dollar was trading at 82.15 US, 78.59 Australian, 51.28 pence, 67.22 yen and 0.6348 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 73.47.

Telecom was down 1 cent to $2.32, Fletcher Building was down 12 cents to $7.86, Contact Energy was up 4 cents to $5.31 and Chorus was unchanged at $3.32.

Sky City Entertainment was unchanged at $3.70, Sky TV Network was down 1 cent to $5.06, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was up 3 cents to $2.56 and The Warehouse was up 4 cents to $3.19.

Hallenstein Glasson was down 25 cents to $5.05 after going ex-dividend, Xero was down 6 cents to $6.37, OceanaGold was down 6 cents to $4.11, Trade Me was down 5 cents to $4.25 and Ryman Healthcare was down 4 cents to $4.10.

Nuplex was up 5 cents to $2.95 and Pharmacybrands was up 4 cents to $1.22.
