Energy Mad has brought the development of its ecobulbs back in-house after manufacturing glitches hurt its profit.
The company lost $454,000 in the six months to September, an increase of 36% compared with the same period a year ago. Sales rose by half to $4.8 million.
Managing director Chris Mardon said projected growth in Australia was impeded by glitches with its ecobulbs and it was too slow getting to market. He said the product should be on the market next February.
