Kia Motors Corp said on Friday its sales rose 23.4% in January from a year ago due to robust overseas sales.
The company said in a statement that Kia sold 260,572 vehicles last month, compared with 211,116 units sold a year earlier.
The figure also represents a 17.7% jump from 221,332 vehicles sold in December last year.
AAP reports that domestic sales in South Korea rose 5% to 36,250 vehicles in January, with exports soaring 26.8% to 224,322 units.
