Queensland tourism operators are going to Indonesia on an inaugural trade mission this week.

Twelve Queensland tourism operators are due to meet 150 Indonesian travel wholesalers, retail agents and media.

State tourism minister Jann Stuckey said on Sunday it is predicted that South-East Asia, including Indonesia, will grow to $A700 million in visitor expenditure in Queensland by 2020.

She hopes Queensland will see a boon when Garuda Indonesia starts a Jakarta-Bali-Brisbane service later this year.

"There are some excellent growth opportunities in Indonesia, particularly in the business and incentive travel market," Ms Stuckey said in a statement.
