Online job vacancies increased in January following consecutive falls in the previous two months.
The Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment said skilled vacancies advertised online rose by 11% last month, and all online job vacancies rose by 13%, compared with December, led by IT, then construction and healthcare.
On a regional basis, Canterbury rose 19%, followed by Wellington and Auckland.
The ministry said recruitment usually start to pick up in January.
