The supermarket chain will offer the Onecard Visa from 4 March, with an interest rate of 19.99% on purchases. The card will be able to be used anywhere Visa is accepted.
The supermarket says reward incentives will be offered for shoppers who use the card when they buy groceries.
Card holders will be able to pay their accounts at any Countdown supermarket.
