The Shareholders Association has settled a defamation action taken against it by the former owners of finance firm Hanover.
Mark Hotchin and Eric Watson sued the association over critical comments made in 2009 by its chairman at the time, Bruce Sheppard.
Mr Sheppard later retracted his comments and the association accepts they were incorrect and regrets any adverse public sentiment as a result of them.
The defamation action against Mr Sheppard continues.
