Auckland International Airport says international and domestic passenger volumes have risen.
The country's main tourism gateway says international patronage rose 3.8% to 608,000 in February, compared with the same period a year ago.
The company says the number has been boosted by Chinese visitors during the Chinese New Year: growth from China jumped 30% in the combined January-February months compared with the same period last year.
Domestic numbers rose 6% to 547,000.
