8:07 am on 28 March 2013

One of the directors of failed company National Finance has had his appeal against his conviction thrown out.

Trevor Allan Ludlow was found guilty on six counts of theft by a person in a special relationship, and one count of omitting a material particular from a document with intent to deceive.

The Court of Appeal has dismissed an appeal against the conviction.

In 2011 Ludow was sentenced to five years and seven months' imprisonment which he is also appealing. That appeal has been adjourned.
