Fletcher Building will absorb Crane operations

Fletcher Building says it will no longer run the Crane business as a standalone division and will absorb its operations into other group businesses.

Fletcher Building bought the manufacturer and distributor of plastic pipeline systems, plumbing and electrical supplies and copper tube two years ago.

As a result of the changes, Crane's current chief executive David Worley, who previously led the distribution and Laminex divisions, has decided to leave Fletcher Building after a 10-year tenure.

Fletcher Building chief executive Mark Adamson says Mr Worley made a significant contribution to the businesses he led.
